For 13 years he learnt what any kid would learn on a mission with a full program of education coupled with a fourth ‘R’, religion, joining the other three. He remained a dedicated Christian until his death. Which, of course, raises the question as to why Namatjira’s name was similarly removed. There is evidence that Albert did not want it to happen.
