WebFastmail scores pretty bad at Email Security Assessment. The European Union provides a tool to assess email provider security configurations. I was pretty surprised when I tested my Fastmail address ( results ): I hope Fastmail will implement more basic security configurations like DANE and DNSSEC. WebProtect your privacy with 1Password and Fastmail. Undeniably a great idea for a service, however, the company is apparently based in Australia where a bill forcing companies to implement back doors has past. Because of this Fast Mail looks a bit sketchy to me. But please do your own research.

WebSo I found mailbox and fastmail are good alternatives to me. Advantages and disadvantages I found while searching: First of all, my threat model: I’m not trying to hide from the government, I just want data encrypted in the server side in case of a breach and protect me from online tracking. Fastmail: +600 aliases. Webfastmail is far the best option and offers great flexibility for people who own multiple domains or need a lot of aliases. Webmail is fast. I never had an issue with their services. If you are planning to use their domain ( fastmail.com, etc) only and don't need a lot of aliases, then there are plenty alternatives such as mailbox.org and posteo.
